wha gwarning

Sho...it's coming towards the end of week two, another 11 to go and things are cooling down a bit. i spent a few days at my project this week but it's a bit fucked up, the people there don't really know what to do with me and i'm under the impression they don't really need me at all. everyone seems to be in a similar situation, we're back in the city now for a weekend of orientation things (cape point tomorrow and african drumming today) so we've kind of been swapping stories.
Hopefully i'll be accompanying Maddie to her project for the next two weeks and then going with maria to her school for a bit maybe until we can arrange a different project! also i'm considering asking SASTs if i can shorten my project to 9 weeks and spend the last 3 weeks or less on some tour or route of some kind, we'll see maybe see other parts of africa- zambia, victoria falls, botswana or maybe a tour of the east...it's gonna be alot hotter there then things are down south (it's still short and t shirt weather though.)
Rewinding back a few days to the unidentified loud bang we heard in our lil cottage, the plot thickens. after Maria found a little hole in her ceiling and remnants of dust and wall on the bed underneath it she was sorting the bed out 2 days later and found something, she came into the kitchen and put the aforementioned object into my hand asking 'what do you think this could be'...well my friends the object in question looked to my little beady eyes like a MOTHER FUCKING BULLET! it was like a scene out of 'murder she wrote' or 'diagnosis murder' or 'the bold and the beautiful' or any other 'soapie' they have over here (they are bloody obsessed with them and there is also only so much oprah winfrey i can take, that women is the most ingenuine and lazy presenter i have ever watched) anyway back to the MOTHER FUCKING BULLET! we strolled up to the house and gave the bullet shaped object to our host dad (nope sorry still don't know his name) he seemed to think it wasnt a bullet but the evidence suggests otherwise. the main conclusion has been that someone was shooting in the air to scare away an intruder perhaps and the bullet somehow landed in our cottage roof. the bullet thing didn't really worry me too much, it was when the host dad starting listing the materials that the roof could be made of, someone asked in all seriousness if it could be made from Abestos...seriously, someone is trying to kills us! H E L P. M E!
