and thank GOD for that. we were trapped i tell you TRAPPED! i feel like i can vent my anger at my unfortunate host family placement now that i am no longer near the iron bars of the FARM. i tell you what i felt like i was in captivity, phewww. i'm sure i will tell you more about the rude bitch of a 'project manager' Verrrrna and the rest of our host 'family' when i get back but know this...they were the worst parents ever! last night me and maria spent our final evening on the farm alone, eating alone, watching 'Alfie' alone , and Amina our supposed 'host mum' did not even say goodbye to us, we've been living there for 2 months and she didnt have the decency to say goodbye! it was a shame that we were placed in such an unloving and unaccomodating household with a completely delusional psycho killer BITCH looking after us, these words sound harsh but i think i'm being too nice!
ahh well, the week was sort of broken up by a mid week trip to woodstock and salt river, cool studenty/ arty towns with some schweet arty gift shops (i didnt buy anything for anyone though so don't get too excited) i now have a thing for skulls, hopefully when im in the kalahri i can get hold of one of those animal skulls you see floating around as symbols of the desert! we went to this equally schweet carribean restaurant called 'Jamaica Me Crazy' pahaa it was worth going there just for the name alone, good times were had by all.
right now im staying in a place called observatory just out of the city. im on my own waiting for amy and kaisa to join me for a night on the tiles then tomorrow me and lie set off on our epic two week tour of zuid afrika. i'm super 'cited now. but also can't wait to see my heavy bedrins (sp) back home! hope y'all are around on the 9th or 10th or that week!
